CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Unbeaten in its last six outings, No. 3 North Carolina will play on the road in three of its final four regular season games beginning Tuesday at Campbell. The Tar Heels (10-2-2) will square off against the Camels (6-5-1) at 7 p.m. at Eakes Athletic Complex.
Carolina holds 14-2-1 lead in the all-time series with Campbell and has won five straight in the series since 1988. The Tar Heels posted a 7-1 victory in the last meeting in 2002.
The Tar Heels are coming off a 1-1 draw with second-ranked Maryland Friday at Fetzer Field. Senior forward Ben Hunter scored for Carolina in the seventh minute of play. Despite tying both matches last week, UNC has not lost since a 1-0 defeat at Clemson Sept. 15.
Hunter and Michael Callahan share the team scoring lead with 10 points, but 10 players have tallied five or more points on the season for UNC. Justin Hughes has five of the Tar Heels' ACC-best seven shutouts in goal.
Campbell brings a two-game win streak into Tuesday's match, having defeated Jacksonville and North Florida last week. The Camels are led by Richard Jata, who has 16 points on six goals and four assists, and Wily Guadarrama, who has 10 points on four goals and two helpers. Aaron Johnson has played all 1100 minutes in goal with a 1.23 goals against average.
The Tar Heels are back in Atlantic Coast Conference action Friday against No. 5 Wake Forest at Fetzer Field. Carolina's seven seniors will be honored before the game.
