Carolina Volleyball Has Solid Start To Spring Season

DURHAM, N.C. --- North Carolina, the defending Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball champions, got its spring season off to a good start with a 7-1 record at this weekend's Duke Spring Tournament. The Tar Heels played two games against four teams, sweeping Winthrop, NC State and Gardner-Webb, and splitting with Appalachian State.
Carolina has 12 returning players in action from last year's 23-10 squad that won an ACC-record 18 matches in league play en route to the conference title. The Tar Heels will travel to Charlotte this weekend for the Charlotte Spring Tournament at the new addition to the Student Activity Center in the ATAC Gymnasium.
