Eight UNC Men's Tennis Players Named To 2006 ACC Academic Honor Roll

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Eight members of the University of North Carolina men's tennis team were named last week to the 2005-06 Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll which was announced by the ACC Office in Greensboro, N.C.

Seven of the Tar Heel players were named to the Honor Roll for the second time as UNC players.

Fifty-seven percent of the team's 14 members were named to the Honor Roll this past year. Sophomore Benjamin Carlotti, sophomore Lenny Gullan, sophomore Tristan Heinrich, senior Raian Luchici, senior Aly Mandour, sophomore Jeff Schroeder and sophomore Karl Wishart were all named to the Honor Roll for the second time. Junior Sebastian Guejman also earned honors this past year.

UNC tied the school record for victories in a season last year with 25 while reaching the Final 16 of the NCAA Championship for the first time since 1993.
