GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina senior defenders David Boole and Ted Odgers, as well as freshman forward Bill Dworsky, secured spots on the 2006 All-ACC Academic Men's Soccer Team announced Thursday by Commissioner John D. Swofford. All nine schools in the league competing in men's soccer are represented on the second annual All-ACC Academic team.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
Boole is making his second straight appearance and is also a two-time member of the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III first team. The business administration major from Raleigh was the only Tar Heel to start all 20 games in 2006.
Odgers is a journalism and mass communication major from Raleigh and started 18 games at center back last season. He scored one goal on the year.
Dworsky, a native of Huntsville, Ala., played in all 20 games a year ago and tallied seven points on two goals and three assists. He has not declared a major.
