CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - No. 16 North Carolina hosts Davidson in men's soccer action at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fetzer Field in the first of two exhibition matches this week for the Tar Heels. Carolina will also face UNC Asheville Saturday in Morganton, N.C., in its final tune-up before the regular season opener.

The Tar Heels own a 23-4-2 all-time mark against Davidson, and the teams played to a 1-1 draw in an exhibition last season. UNC took the teams' last regular season meeting, 1-0, in 2003.

Carolina was 11-6-3 a year ago, while the Wildcats went 5-13-1. UNC junior defender Ryan Adeleye, a transfer from Davidson, will suit up against his former team for the first time.

The Tar Heels will kick off the 2007 regular season with the annual Carolina Nike Classic, which is slated for Aug. 31 and Sept. 2 at Fetzer Field.
