The Carolina Basketball family continues to span the world. Fresh off a Tar Heel career that saw him go from walk-on to key contributor, Wes Miller has signed a professional contract with the London Capitals of the British Basketball League. The Capitals recently announced that they will be coached by Steve Bucknall, a former Carolina standout from London who has been instrumental in raising the profile of basketball in England.
Miller, whose book on his final season at UNC will be released next month, journeyed to London in early August to work at Bucknall's camp. That exposure persuaded Bucknall to sign Miller for the Capitals.
The lengthy British Basketball League season begins Sept. 22 and stretches through late April. Other ACC players in the league include NC State's Bryant Feggins plus Clemson's Olu Babalola and Shawan Robinson.
