Donato & Hardy Wrap Up Doubles Title at Duke Invite

DURHAM, N.C. - North Carolina's Clay Donato and Stefan Hardy were named the doubles champions of the Duke Indoor Invitational Monday after winning all three of their matches in the three-day tournament. The Tar Heel duo totaled 15 points with three wins to best second place Jason Jung and Mike Sroczynski, ranked No. 23 nationally, by three points. UNC's Benjamin Carlotti and David Stone finished fifth with six points.
The tournament featured an unusual competition format with North Carolina, host Duke, Elon and Michigan playing round robin formats in singles and doubles each day. Junior Taylor Fogleman and senior David Stone were the top finishers for Coach Sam Paul's Tar Heels in singles as they tied for seventh with 14 points each.
