CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Tar Heel fans will have the chance to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday in exciting fashion Tuesday when the North Carolina men's soccer team hosts a second-round NCAA Tournament match at 6 p.m. at Fetzer Field. The 13th-seeded Tar Heels will host Jacksonville in the second round of the tourney.
"The Carolina men's soccer program hopes for great support from our fans and our community at Fetzer Field Tuesday night when they come out to cheer on the Tar Heels in their quest to make a run to the College Cup," said head coach Elmar Bolowich. "Fan support at this stage is very important for the atmosphere on game day. All year long, our fans have been our 12th man and supported our student-athletes in a first-class manner."
Carolina Athletics encourages fans to purchase NCAA men's soccer tickets online and in advance at TarHeelBlue.com, which allows fans to print their own tickets from home. Ticketing options on game day are still available but only one entrance to Fetzer Field will be available to those purchasing on game day.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students (age 7 to college) and seniors (age 55 and up).
Due to construction, we encourage fans to buy online so that you may continue to enter the gates in which you are accustomed. Fans that purchase online will use the print-at-home ticket option, and be permitted to enter at any gate.
If you do not choose to purchase your tickets in advance you will need to proceed to the ticket trailer at the Eddie Smith Field House parking lot to purchase tickets. This will be the only location where tickets will be sold on game day, and only cash will be accepted on game day.
The closest available parking to the ticket trailer at the Eddie Smith Field House is the Ram's Head Parking Deck.
The Dolphins (12-8-1) scored a 4-3 overtime win at Louisville Friday to earn their first-ever NCAA victory. UNC is 4-0-1 all-time against Jacksonville.
