Carolina finishes the season 14-2 at home. The Tar Heels are now 265-50 in the Smith Center (84.1 percent).
The Tar Heels have won eight in a row and 19 of the last 22 meetings against Florida State.
Carolina shot 70.4 percent from the floor in the second half. That is the highest percentage in a half this year by UNC in an ACC game. The previous best percentage in a half was 61.3 percent in the second half in the last game at Boston College.
Over the last two games, UNC has shot 38 for 58 combined in the second halves against Boston College and Florida State. That is a percentage of 65.5 percent.
This was the 18th time in 30 games this season that the Tar Heels scored 90 or more points. It is the eighth time in ACC play UNC has scored at least 90. That is the most in ACC play since Carolina hit 90 on 10 occasions in ACC play in 1986-87.
Tyler Hansbrough scored 20 points tonight, the 23rd time this year he has scored 20 or more points (53rd time in his career).
Hansbrough moved past Antawn Jamison into seventh place in UNC career scoring with 1,985 points. Jamison, the 1998 National Player of the Year, had 1,974 points from 1995-98.
Hansbrough is now the third-leading scorer through his junior season in ACC history behind only Dennis Scott of Georgia Tech (2,115) and Jason Williams of Duke (2,079).
Hansbrough finished the home portion of the schedule with 385 points at the Smith Center, an average of 24.1 per game. He set Smith Center single game records for most points in a season (previous record 350 by Rashad McCants in 2002-03) and highest average (previous record 22.2 by Jamison in 1997-98).
Hansbrough made 10 of 11 from the free throw line, the fifth-straight game in which he has made at least 10 free throws (is 53 for 64 in those five games).
Hansbrough has tied Virginia's Bryant Stith for second alltime in free throws made by an ACC player with 690. Duke's Christian Laettner is the only ACC player to make more free throws (713).
Hansbrough had nine rebounds, giving him 855, one more than Pete Brennan for 11th place in UNC history.
Senior Surry Wood scored a career-high four points.
Danny Green scored 12 points, the third straight game in which he scored in double figures. That marks the first time since his freshman year that he scored in double figures in three consecutive ACC games.
Marcus Ginyard scored 13 points, the sixth time this year and 15th time in his career he scored in double figures. It is the first time since he had 13 at NC State on Feb. 20.
Quentin Thomas had eight points and four assists. This was his eighth start this year. The Tar Heels are 7-1 this year in games Thomas starts.
Will Graves had six points and two assists. This was the third straight game in which Graves has made a three-pointer.
