Fedroff Earns ACC Weekly Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina right fielder Tim Fedroff picked up the final Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honor Monday after leading the Tar Heels to a series win at No. 1 Miami to close the regular season.
Against the Hurricanes, Fedroff hit .429 (6-14) with two home runs, seven RBI and three runs scored. The sophomore outfielder, who finished with a .929 slugging percentage against Miami, went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer that lifted North Carolina to a 9-0 lead in Friday's second game. On Saturday, Fedroff went 2-for-5 and drove in five runs with a two-run double in the fourth inning and a three-run homer in the fifth. The Flagtown, N.J., native's home run ultimately proved the difference as the No. 2 Tar Heels posted a 12-11 victory.
Fedroff, who claimed the fourth ACC weekly honor for the Tar Heels this season, is batting .383 with 11 home runs, 56 RBI and 13 stolen bases entering this week's ACC Championship.
