You might think you've read this story before, but this one is new: Chad Flack hit yet another big home run last night to keep the Tar Heels alive. Ever wonder what it's like to be in the dugout for one of those blasts? Chase Jones tells us firsthand. The long homer might switch the momentum between the two teams, but Fresno State had earned the right to have a cushion. Now the cushion is gone and both teams will win or go home.
Somewhat lost in Flack's heroics is the fact that Alex White has been terrific in relief. White may or may not be available today. Adam Warren will get the start for the Tar Heels, while the linked story above suggests Fresno will try Clayton Allison, who is trying to get healthy.
Meanwhile, in Athens, Georgia is 3-0 for the first time in CWS history. The Bulldogs await the winner of tonight's game.
To get the flavor of Omaha, check out a good story from the local paper on CWS volunteers.
