Tar Heels Take Title!

Junior Jessica McDonald scored in the third minute of play and the Tar Heels held on to that 1-0 lead throughout the game to earn the 2009 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship Sunday afternoon against Stanford at Aggie Soccer Stadium in College Station, Texas.
The Tar Heels won their 20th NCAA title and 21st national championship overall. Carolina (23-3-1) claimed its third crown in the past four years.
