Anibaba, Farfan Named CSN All-Americas

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Seniors Jalil Anibaba and Michael Farfan were both named to the College Soccer News All-America first team squad on Friday. Anibaba earns his first All-America nod, while Farfan makes it back-to-back years.
Anibaba has paced a defense that ranks fifth in the country in goals against average at 0.63 per contest. The Davis, Calif., native has started all 23 games at center back for the Tar Heels who have posted 11 shutouts on the year.
Farfan becomes the seventh Tar Heel and first since Danny Jackson in 2000 and 2001 to earn back-to-back All-America honors. The senior midfielder has tallied five goals and three assists for 13 points on the year. Farfan netted three game winners during the ACC season.
The California duo will return to action Friday night as the Tar Heels take on No. 1 Louisville at 8:30 p.m. ET in the first semifinal of the NCAA College Cup in Santa Barbara, Calif.
