After stellar performances at Maryland and in her final home meet as a Carolina gymnast, senior Christine Nguyen was named EAGL Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season. Nguyen scored a 39.575 on Saturday, the fourth highest all-around score in Carolina gymnastics history. Nguyen also set a new personal best on floor (9.950) and captured every event title in the Tar Heels 196.225-187.200 victory.

On Tuesday Nguyen tied for first on balance beam with a 9.800 and won floor exercise (9.925) en route to winning the all-around title as the Tar Heel defeated EAGL rival Maryland and George Washington University.

Nguyen and the Tar Heels travel to New Hampshire on Saturday, March 27 for the EAGL Championships at 2 p.m.
