RE: On missing players
"The players we are missing are awesome. It's hard, but we have a lot of strong reserves; our bench is really good. So we were fine, we knew we would be fine no matter what."
RE: Game-winning goal
"It was an awesome ball by Brittany Bartok. She is an awesome player and she can read the game so well. So she played me an awesome ball and all I had to do was beat the keeper and put it in."
RE: Touch conference play so far
"We like that. We love big games. We like being down so we can learn to work through that and not panic. So I am really excited for the ACC."
RE: Magnitude of scoring goal just before half
"The first half was not our best half. We were struggling and we didn't have that many shots on goal. I think we really needed somebody, anybody, to score. So to get one before the half was good because we knew we could come back out with an even playing field."
RE: Physical play from VT
Yes, definitely. They are a tough team. That's their reputation and we knew we were going to have to deal with that."
Head Coach: Anson Dorrance
RE: Slow start in first-half
"I don't think that was the issue; the issue was Virginia Tech is very disruptive. They play with tremendous aggression and courage, and it's just very hard to play against. In the first half, because of their aggression, we were unsettled and were not playing very intelligently."
RE: Meghan Klingenberg
"Meghan Klingenberg had an outstanding game. Not just her goal. But I shared with her after the game and also even at half time, just how well she is playing. She's an excellent player, she's always been a great player for us; a four-year starter. But her game has taken a really nice jump."
