Farfan Named To CSN National Team Of The Week

Senior midfielder Michael Farfan was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week on Sunday after his two-goal performance in the 2-1 win over No. 5 Maryland on Friday.
Farfan was at the center of the Tar Heel attack driving a shot into the back of the net in the 10th minute of play and converting a penalty kick in the 52nd minute to help UNC top ACC foe Maryland, 2-1, to improve to 5-1-0 on the year.
It is the first honor of the year for Farfan and the second of his career after earning the honor on Sept. 13 a year ago.
Up next for the Tar Heels is a trip to Norfolk, Va. to take on Old Dominion at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
