Heels Hold Final Scrimmage Before The Fall World Series

Chapel Hill, N.C.- The Navy squad came back from an early 2-0 deficit to take a 6-2 win on Thursday afternoon as the Heels held their final scrimmage of the Fall before beginning the Fall World series on Monday, Oct. 10 at 2:15 p.m.
lue held a 2-0 lead after three innings before Navy rallied with six runs in their last four innings. The scrimmage was halted after the top of the seventh due to pitch count limitations.
Each team had eight hits while Navy committed two errors to none for Blue.
The always-fun Fall World Series will begin on Monday, Oct. 10, at 2:15 p.m. There will be two best-of-three series. If a different squad each wins a series there will be a one game final for the title. All FWS games are free and open to the public.
Scrimmage Highlights: Jacob Stallings had a solo home run to left in the first...After Blue loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the sixth, Adam Griffin struck out three consecutive hitters to end the inning.
