Six Heels Earn NSCAA All-South Region Honors

HOOVER, Ala. -
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced its All-Region teams on Friday and the three teams featured six Tar Heels, more than any other team in the region. Matt Hedges, Enzo Martinez, Billy Schuler and Kirk Urso all earned first team honors, while Scott Goodwin and Ben Speas were named to the third team.
The six selections are the most in school history as the 2011 squad placed one more than the 2010 team.
Leading the way for the Tar Heels were first team selections Matt Hedges, Enzo Martinez, Billy Schuler and Kirk Urso. The four first team picks were the highest among South Region teams.
Juniors Scott Goodwin and Ben Speas were named Third Team All-South Region for their performances in 2011.
