Carolina won its 12th ACC game tonight, the 20th time in history the Tar Heels have won at least 12 regular-season ACC games.

This is the fifth time in Roy Williams's eight years that the Tar Heels have won at least 12 regular-season ACC games.

Carolina scored 87 points, its third-highest figure in ACC games this year and the most since the Tar Heels scored 89 against Florida State six games ago.

This was the first game in which both Tyler Zeller (25) and Harrison Barnes (21) scored 20 or more points. It was Zeller's fifth 20-point game this year and Barnes's fourth.

Leslie McDonald scored an ACC season-high 15 points off the bench on 6 of 10 shots from the floor. McDonald had made six field goals in the previous four games combined.

John Henson tied his career high with seven blocks and grabbed 15 rebounds (12 in the first half). He has 90 blocks this year, fourth-most in a season by a Tar Heel, and 150 in his career. He passed Brad Daugherty for ninth place in Carolina history - Daugherty had 146 in four years from 1982-86.

Henson has blocked 24 shots in the last four games.

Henson has grabbed 10 or more rebounds in seven consecutive games, including 15 in consecutive games. Henson is the first Tar Heel with 15 rebounds in consecutive games since Tyler Hansbrough had 21 atFlorida State and 18 against Duke in 2007-08. Henson is the first Tar Heel to have seven straight 10-rebound games since Sean May did it eight games in a row to end the regular season in 2005.

Carolina's starting guards, Kendall Marshall and Dexter Strickland, combined for 18 assists and one field goal (a layup by Marshall).

Dexter Strickland went 0 for 6 from the floor but had a career-high eight assists and only one turnover. His previous high in assists was five vs. Albany.

Kendall Marshall had his second career double-digit assist game. He had 10 assists tonight and three turnovers. Marshall is now averaging an ACC-leading 5.32 assists (Duke's Nolan Smith is second at 5.17).

Carolina has led at the half in nine straight games. The last time UNC did not lead at the half was at Miami on Jan. 26 when the team were tied at 39.

Tyler Zeller's 25 points are his ACC personal best. His previous high in an ACC game was 24 at Duke this year. He also tied his career high with 10 field goals. He also had 10 against Kentucky when he scored a career high 27.

John Henson tied his career best by going 4 for 4 from the free throw line. He also went 4 for 4 last year against Virginia Tech.
