BRYAN, TEXAS - The North Carolina women's golf team moves up to a tie for sixth place in the third round of the NCAA Championships with six teams yet to complete the third round after an earlier two-hour weather delay for lightning. Carolina fired a 9-over-par 297 in the third round for an 895 total through three rounds. Junior Allie White led the Tar Heels on Friday firing an even par 72.

UCLA, Purdue and LSU are three of the teams that have yet to complete the third round. UCLA, the leader after each of the first two rounds, still leads the 24-team field at 13-over-par. The Bruins are 5-over thus far in the third round, six strokes ahead of Purdue, which is in second place at 19-over. LSU stands at 26-over and is tied for third place with Virginia which fired a 302 in the third round for an 890 total. Host Texas A&M is alone in fifth place with an 891 total. Carolina and Vanderbilt are tied for sixth place with 895 totals while Southern California and Florida are deadlocked in eighth place at 32-over.
