TUCSON, Ariz. - Freshman third baseman Colin Moran was named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America team on Wednesday for his efforts in his initial campaign at North Carolina.
A first team Atlantic Coast Conference selection as well as Freshman of The Year in the league, Moran hit .343 with 9 homers, 19 doubles and 68 RBI. He also scored 43 runs and had 74 hits in 216 at-bats.
Carolina has had at least one player on the Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-America squad every year since 2002.
