Loyd Named To USMNT For Friendlies

CHICAGO - Former North Carolina defender Zach Loyd was named to the U.S. Men's National Team by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann on Thursday. Loyd made his USMNT debut in January 2011 when he started at left back in a friendly against Chile.
Loyd has appeared in 24 matches with 22 starts for FC Dallas in the 2011 Major League Soccer regular season. The Verdigris, Okla., native has tallied a goal and distributed three assists on the year for his club that is currently in third place in the Western Division.
Loyd made his USMNT debut in January 2011 when he earned the start at left back for the Americans against Chile in a friendly.
