Tar Heels Open Men's Tennis Season Saturday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina men's tennis team will open up its 2012 dual meet season this weekend when Coach Sam Paul's No. 20-ranked Tar Heels travel to Oklahoma to meet a pair of nationally-ranked opponents.
A series of three dual matches will be played Friday-Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the University of Tulsa campus involving Stanford, North Carolina and Tulsa.
The schedule of matches is as follows:
Friday, January 20, Tulsa vs. Stanford at 5 p.m. CST
Saturday, January 21, Stanford vs. North Carolina at 3 p.m. CST
Sunday, January 22, Tulsa vs. North Carolina at 12 p.m. CST
Heading into the weekend, Stanford is ranked sixth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings while North Carolina is 20th and Tulsa 23rd.
This weekend will mark the season openers for Stanford for North Carolina. Tulsa opened its season last Friday, dropping a 4-3 decision to 14th-ranked California in Tulsa.
