Tar Heel Pair Named To NSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

A pair of Tar Heels were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Teams as senior Kirk Urso was named to the first team and junior goalkeeper Scott Goodwin earned second team honors.
Urso earned first team honors as a midfielder in helping lead the Tar Heels to the NCAA National Championship as he finished his senior campaign with three goals and seven assists.
Goodwin, who also earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors, posted a 20-2-3 record on the year with 11 shutouts for the second straight year. The junior goalkeeper owns the lowest career goals against average in school history at 0.65.
