Bolowich To Be Inducted Into NC Soccer Hall Of Fame

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Former North Carolina head coach Elmar Bolowich will be inducted into the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame on Jan. 21, 2012 in Greensboro, N.C. Bolowich will be joined by former Charlotte head coach Bill Finneyfrock and Tony Suarez.
olowich will become the third Tar Heel head coach to be inducted into the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame as he will join the school's first head coach, Marvin Allen, along with former men's coach and current women's coach, Anson Dorrance.
olowich compiled a 280-144-40 record in 22 seasons as the head coach of the Tar Heels. The Edenkoben, Germany, native helped lead the Tar Heels to their first NCAA Championship in 2001 and helped lead the Tar Heels to three straight NCAA College Cups before taking over at Creighton in 2011.
In addition to his work with the Tar Heels, Bolowich had a longtime involvement with the North Carolina Olympic Development program and coached championship teams with the Triangle United Soccer Association.
The Hall of Fame Dinner will take place Jan. 21, 2012 at the Sheraton Four Seasons in Greensboro, N.C. with festivities getting under way at 7:15 p.m.
