Kendall Marshall had 13 assists, the 11th time this season and 17th time in his career he has handed out double-figure assists. It was the seventh time this year he had 13 or more assists in a game. The Tar Heels are now 21-0 when Marshall records at least nine assists.
Marshall has 262 assists this year, third-most in UNC single-season history. He is averaging 9.7 assists this season.
Harrison Barnes led all scorers for the second game in a row with 24 points and added seven rebounds. Barnes hit three three-pointers for the second consecutive game. That equals his highest two-game total from three-point range this year (he hit two against Wisconsin and four at Kentucky).
Barnes' 24 points marked his 11th 20-point game this year and the 19th of his career. It was his third 20-point game in his last three games (25 against Duke, 23 at Miami and 24 vs. Clemson).
Barnes took 18 shots from the floor, the second-most by a Tar Heel this year. He had a team season-high 19 field goal attempts in UNC's previous game at Miami.
Reggie Bullock hit three three-pointers and had 11 points. It was his most threes in six games (since he made three against Georgia Tech on Jan. 29) and his 13th game in double figures this year.
Carolina is now 56-0 against Clemson in Chapel Hill, including 24-0 in the Smith Center. The Tar Heels lead the all-time series,126-20.
The Tar Heels are now 10-2 in the ACC. This is the 36th season in which the Tar Heels have won 10 or more regular-season ACC games.Duke is second with 29. It is the seventh such season in the last eight years under head coach Roy Williams.
The win was the 666th of Williams's head coaching career. He is 23rd all-time in wins. Gary Williams is 22nd with 668. His winning percentage is back to .800, fourth-best in NCAA history.
