Carolina Places Three On All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - A trio of Tar Heels were named to the ACC All-Academic Team on Monday as announced by Commissioner John Swofford. Senior Kirk Urso was joined on the team by junior Scott Goodwin and sophomore Rob Lovejoy.
Senior Kirk Urso earned his third straight All-ACC Academic Team honor after being named the 2010 ACC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a junior.
Junior goalkeeper Scott Goodwin earned All-ACC Academic Team honors for the second straight season after picking up CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team honors as well.
Sophomore forward Rob Lovejoy was the third Tar Heel to earn All-ACC Academic Team honors on Monday after finding the back of the net seven times and contributing five assists in 2011.
