Carolina Announces Spring Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina men's soccer head coach Carlos Somoano announced his squad's 2012 spring schedule on Monday and it is a slate that features eight matches. UNC will play a pair of matches in Virginia and six in North Carolina.
The Tar Heels will open their spring season with a doubleheader in Richmond, Va. on Saturday, March 17 when they take on the Richmond Spiders at 3 p.m. before taking on USL Pro side the Richmond Kickers.
The following Sunday (March 25) the Tar Heels will stay in the Triangle and take on NASL side the Carolina Railhawks at 6 p.m.
The Tar Heels will then play a pair of doubleheaders on March 31 and April 14. Carolina will travel to Greensboro, N.C. to take on Gardner-Webb and UNC Greensboro on March 31 before heading to Elon, N.C. to face Campbell and Elon on April 14.
Carolina will close out its spring season on Saturday, April 21 against ACC foe Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C.
