Heels Scrimmage On Friday

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The North Carolina Tar Heels held an eight inning scrimmage on Friday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. The visiting Blue squad held on for a 4-3 win.
Blue took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second on a single by Tom Zengel and a sacrifice fly by Chaz Frank. Landon Lassiter drove in a run in the top of the seventh for a 3-0 lead before Blue put one more run on the board in the top of the eighth.
Skye Bolt's two-run homer to right in the bottom of the eighth pulled Navy to within 4-2. Navy scored an unearned run with two outs in the inning on a Matt Rubino single to center, but the game ended on a pop up to second.
Six pitchers threw in the scrimmage: Chris McCue, Hobbs Johnson, Shane Taylor, Chris Munnelly, Tate Parrish and Kayden Porter.
The Tar Heels will scrimmage again on Saturday afternoon.
Scrimmage Highlights: Three great plays in right field. Tom Zengel robbed Grayson Atwood of extra bases...Alex Rayburn made a great diving catch of a Chaz Frank line shot...Parks Jordan made a leaping grab at the wall on a Colin Moran blast to deep right field. Skye Bolt's mammoth home run to right field.
