Durkac Named EAGL Gymnast of the Week

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina senior Elizabeth Durkac earned her second-consecutive EAGL Gymnast of the Week honor after winning the all-around competition in a meet at Maryland. She was the league's top gymnast last week against George Washington and William & Mary.
Durkac had her highest event score on floor exercise where she notched a 9.850 to place second. She was third on the balance beam with a 9.775, fifth on bars with a 9.800 and fifth on vault with a 9.775.
The Tar Heels and Terrapins meet again, this time in Chapel Hill, on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 5 p.m.
