Carolina Baseball Holds Ladies Night

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- The North Carolina baseball team held their first Ladies Night on Monday evening at Boshamer Stadium.
The evening began at 5:00 p.m. with a buffett and reception on the concouse level of the stadium. From there the ladies moved to the third-base bleachers for a Q&A session with Coach Fox and four players: Chris Munnelly, Chaz Frank, Cody Stubbs and Benton Moss.
After the Q&A the ladies were divided into four groups for their tour of the stadium. Each group visited the same parts of the stadium. The areas visited included the indoor batting facility where several players talked about various hitting drills before attendess could hit balls off the batting tees.
From there they received tours of the Player's Lounge, Locker Room, Weight Room and Trainer's Room. Players and staff were stationed in each area for questions and answers.
The Bullpen was another area that was visited. Coach Gaines explained the process of how relief pitchers are prepared to enter a game. Several of the players then showed how to grip various pitches. Lots of ladies then took their turn on the mound.
The evening ended at 7:45 p.m. with the players and attendees posing for a picture on the field. Several items were then raffled off.
The proceeds of the event were to benefit the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
