Carolina Baseball Summer Placements Set

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- With the regular season coming to an end 18 members of the North Carolina baseball team will now head to wood bat summer leagues.
Freshman outfielder Skye Bolt made the 24-man roster for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team and will head to Japan later this week. Fellow freshman Trent Thornton did not make the roster but will remain with the team the rest of the week after throwing 2.2 scoreless innings last week for the squad.
Five Tar Heels have made their way to Cape Cod for the Cape Cod League, while five other players will take part in the Coastal Plain League.
A pair of Tar Heels will play in the Northwoods League and four others will be playing in the Cal Ripken League.
