ATLANTA -- Postgame notes from the Tar Heels' 78-65 win at Georgia Tech:
• The Tar Heels won their second game in a row & improved to 3-4 in the ACC (13-7 overall)
• UNC shot 16 for 24 in the second half (67 percent)
• It was the second straight game UNC shot better than 60 percent in the second half (.615 vs Clemson, .667 vs Georgia Tech)
• UNC out-rebounded Georgia Tech 45-33, including 13-6 on the offensive end
• Despite struggling most of the year on the line, the Tar Heels shot 16 for 20 from the free throw line in the second half
• Leslie McDonald tied his season high with 15 points. It is the first time in his career he's scored in double figures in four straight games
• James Michael McAdoo scored 17 points in 18 minutes due to foul trouble. He was averaging 30 minutes a game before the game against the Yellow Jackets. He has made 33 of his last 55 field goal attempts.
• Marcus Paige had 19 points, 7 assists, 0 turnovers against the Yellow Jackets. It was his first game this year without a turnover. He has 29 assists and nine turnovers in his last six games.
• UNC's 52 points in the second half were its highest total in any ACC half this year (previous 46 in 2nd vs Boston College)
• The Georgia Tech game was the 900th of Roy Williams' head coaching career. He's 713-187 (.792). Tar Heels had 20 assists on 28 field goals and committed a season low 6 turnovers (previous low 8 vs Texas)
