Men's Soccer Hosts Georgia Southern Tuesday Night

Coming off a 2-0 win Friday night at Boston College, Carolina has moved to sixth in the Top Drawer Soccer poll this week, and No. 8 according to College Soccer News.
UNC (11-4) has won five-straight matches heading into Tuesday night against a Georgia Southern club that sits at 6-6 on the year. The Eagles earned a 1-0 victory at Appalachian State on Saturday in Boone, N.C.
The Tar Heels have won the only two previous meetings against Georgia Southern. That includes a 2-0 win in the last matchup on Oct. 2, 2012 in Chapel Hill. Andy Craven scored the game winner for Carolina.
Verneri Valimaa fueled the Tar Heels last Friday night against Boston College with a goal in each half, giving him 10 points (four goals, two assists) in the last seven games.
Brendan Moore made three saves to notch his ninth clean sheet, and extended his scoreless streak to 516:41 dating back to the match against Clemson on Oct. 3.
Emmanuel Raji leads Georgia Southern in scoring with 11 points on four goals and three assists, while the trio of Jeremy Rector, David Vargas Masis and Eric Dinka have each scored three times in 2014.
North Carolina hosts the regular season finale on Saturday night against Virginia at 7 p.m. The Tar Heels will honor its seniors before the start of the match.
