Tar Heels in the NFL
Really good story about Gio Bernard's reunion with James White, which was about much more than football, last night in Foxboro. Bernard had 62 yards rushing and two catches for 10 yards in the game...Hakeem Nicks caught three passes for 29 yards...Kareem Martin had three tackles for Arizona...Eric Ebron caught a pair of passes for the Lions...Da'Norris Searcy had two tackles for the Bills...Sylvester Williams had one tackle for Denver.
Tar Heels in MLB
Andrew Miller pitched a perfect 1.2 innings in helping Baltimore into the ALCS. ESPN cited Miller as one of the reasons Baltimore won the ALDS, and the bidding will likely be steep for him as a free agent this winter...Mike Morin, Chris Iannetta and the Angels were eliminated by the red-hot Royals.
Long read
No one knows Tar Heel football like Lee Pace. It's interesting to hear his breakdown of how the fateful first play against Virginia Tech was supposed to be very different.
