Craven Named A Hermann Trophy Finalist

The three finalists are Craven, Alex Bono of Syracuse and Leo Stolz of UCLA. This year's trophy presentation and banquet will take place Friday, Jan. 9 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
Craven, a first team All-ACC and All-Region selection this year, leads the nation with 35 total points and eight game-winning goals, while his 15 goals is tied for the national lead with two other players.
He was named National Player of the Week on three different occasions this season by three different media outlets: College Soccer News (9/8), the NSCAA (10/14) and Top Drawer Soccer (11/25). Craven also earned national team of the week honors seven times this season.
He scored three goals and an assist in the 6-0 win over JMU in the NCAA Championship first round, and earlier in the year scored scored three goals against Georgia Southern in the regular season.
The St. Simon Island, Ga., native scored his final goal of the season to send the NCAA Quarterfinal match at No. 2 UCLA into overtime, after the Tar Heels fell behind by two goals.
