• The loss drops the Tar Heels to 5-2 this season, including 2-1 at the Smith Center.
• Carolina is now 8-8 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, including 8-4 under head coach Roy Williams.
• Carolina is now 86-4 in non-ACC home games under Roy Williams.
• The 55 points are the lowest by UNC this season and the lowest since a 57-45 loss at Syracuse on Jan. 11, 2014.
• The 55 points are the fewest in a home game since a 69-53 loss to Duke on March 9, 2013.
• Iowa's 60 points are the fewest by an opponent in a home loss in the Roy Williams era at UNC (previous was 63 by Miami on Jan. 8, 2014, in a 63-57 Miami win).
• The 60 points are the fewest scored by the opponent in a home loss since a 58-54 loss to Davidson on Nov. 20, 2001.
• Carolina shot 27.9 percent from the floor, its lowest field goal percentage in a game since shooting 27.6 percent at Georgia Tech on Jan. 16, 2011.
• Carolina's first half field goal percentage of .268 is the lowest in any half this season (which followed its previous low in the second half of the win over Florida).
• Second-chance points were 16-12, but Iowa scored the final 10 second-chance points in the game.
• Kennedy Meeks led Carolina with 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, his fourth double-double in seven games this year (he had two last year).
