March 10, 2014 | General

Here's one and here's another. Based on a very small sample, it's looking like J.P. Tokoto might not make the all-defensive team, which would be absurd, but remember that voting isn't exactly scientific. Of course, if you're looking to be totally mystified, here's the designated clueless person who doesn't think Marcus Paige deserves first-team All-ACC. Sometimes the bad ballots are more entertaining than the reasonable ones. Check out the reasoning for Jabari Parker, who is a terrific player but has never been confused with a defensive stopper, as a member of the all-defensive team...

Today in Tar Heel history
March 10, 2012: Without John Henson, Carolina edged NC State, 69-67, in the ACC Tournament semifinals in Atlanta. Here are the game highlights, including Kendall Marshall's game-winner (which you probably remember) and a brilliant end-of-game play by Justin Watts (which you might not, but Roy Williams loved):
Long read
An interesting in-depth feature on the long-term influence of Michael Jordan, not as much through his basketball abilities, but through his shoe empire, which has had a major cultural impact.
