Day One of Penn Relays In The Books

PHILADELPHIA - The University of North Carolina track and field teams competed at the prestigious Penn Relays today. Only a few individuals made the trip to Philadelphia for the meet.
Senior Tristine Johnson and freshman Keyasia Tibbs jumped in the women's college triple jump. Tristine Johnson jumped 41-4 ½ (12.61 meters) to take third place overall. Keyasia Tibbs finished 16th with a jump of 39-1 ¼ (11.92 meters).
Senior Chris DiLorenzo threw in the college men's shot put where he took fourth place and threw 55-0 ¾ (16.78 meters).
The men's 4x400 team finished seventh in the semifinals and qualified for the finals with a time of 3:08.08. RJ Alowonle, Kwame Donyinah, Javonte Lipsey and Ceo Ways comprised the team. The relay team will compete in the finals tomorrow.
