
Hanson Named To IWLCA Honor Roll

CHAPEL HILL - Paige Hanson, one of the top scholar-athletes in recent University of North Carolina women's lacrosse history, earned another honor on Tuesday. Hanson was one of 233 student-athletes from 79 different institutions named to the 2014 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division I Academic Honor Roll.
All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative academic GPA or 3.50 or greater.
Hanson won the 2013 NCAA Elite 89 Award as the player at the NCAA Tournament semifinals with the highest cumulative grade point average. She graduated from Carolina with honors in May with a degree in journalism and mass communication and political science.
