Lopez Named ACC Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina's Andy Lopez and Wake Forest's Jon Bakero have been named the ACC Men's Soccer Offensive Players of the Week, while Duke's Markus Fjørtoft was selected as ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
Lopez, a redshirt freshman forward from Mission, Texas, scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Louisville on Friday night. The victory gave the Tar Heels the Coastal Division title with one game remaining in the conference's regular season. Lopez also scored once in the 6-1 midweek victory at Campbell.
For the season, Lopez has three goals and one assist in 15 matches. The fifth-ranked Tar Heels host Northeastern on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
