Sophomore Brayden Schnur is Carolina's number one singles player. As a freshman, the Canadian native was named ITA National Rookie of the Year and ACC Freshman of the Year, and this fall he posted a 11-0 singles record to claim the ITA Carolinas Regional and USTA/ITA National Indoor Collegiate Championships. Heading into this spring, Schnur is aiming at another national top finish both as a team and individual.
Sophomore Ronnie Schneider had a spectacular freshman campaign where he earned All-ACC honors with a 34-9 overall singles record. Already this fall, Schneider posted a 10-5 singles mark and made a run to the quarterfinals at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Collegiate Championships. Schneider is another anchor on the singles side for the men's team this season, who is looking to make a run at an ACC Championship.
Jack Murray is the third sophomore standout that will help lead Carolina deep into the ACC and ITA Championships this season. Murray went 11-4 in singles and 5-2 in doubles this fall on his way to a Round of 16 appearance at the ITA Carolinas Regional. Murray's play will be critical at securing singles and doubles points in closely contested matches this spring.
Senior returning co-captain Esben Hess-Olesen returns this season as one of Carolina's most experienced collegiate players. The Denmark native played a majority of his matches last year at the #4 singles position, where he finished 5-9 record. Hess-Olesen will again rise to lead Carolina's young team this season, with the hopes of clinching a conference and national championship.
