Today's edition features scholar-athlete Jonathan Campbell, a NY Times article on UNC's infamous “Noon Ball” and a MLS video on rookie Boyd Okwuonu.
Jonathan Campbell was recognized for his solid work in the classroom at the second-annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Luncheon, and honored as a UNC Top 10 Scholar-Athlete.
Campbell, a business major who is minoring in Spanish, encouraged his fellow student-athletes not to take their time at UNC for granted. New York Red Bulls midfielder Dax McCarty was home in the Orlando area this winter when he got a call from his new coach asking if he could get back to New York to meet face-to-face.

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has told the club's official website that all the players in his team should consider Eric Lichaj as an example to follow.
Lichaj has been on the books of Forest since 2013 and has been playing well since Freedman took over in February.
However, the 26-year-old defender has been ruled out for the rest of the season following an injury he picked up against Ipswich Town away from home in the Championship on Saturday.
