UNC Sprints Past Quinnipiac In NCAA 1st Round

UNC (28-1) will face Dartmouth in the second round of the championship at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill. Match time has been moved up to 11 a.m.
Carolina took just 22 minutes to win the opening doubles point over the Bobcats. Within seconds of each other, Hayley Carter and Whitney Kay on court one and Caroline Price and Kate Vialle on court three, earned 8-0 victories for the fastest doubles point win of the season.
UNC quickly moved to a 3-0 lead with wins by Jamie Loeb and Ashley Dai on courts one and six, respectively. Loeb won 6-1, 6-0, while Dai did not surrender a point in a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Price, playing in her fourth NCAA tournament, clinched the Tar Heel victory with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Quinnipiac's Sydney Horton on court three.
Dartmouth topped William & Mary, 4-1, in the first match of the day.
