UNC Picked Fifth By NSCAA

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - North Carolina was selected fifth in the preseason rankings for men's soccer, released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
The Tar Heels are coming off another outstanding season in 2014, reaching the NCAA Quarterfinals for the sixth time in the last seven years.
Considered the toughest conference in men's soccer year in and year out, the Atlantic Coast Conference placed six teams in the top 25, including three of the top-5 - No. 2 Virginia, No. 4 Notre Dame and the fifth-ranked Tar Heels.
Clemson is No. 11, followed No. 15 Syracuse and No. 18 Louisville.
UNC begins its exhibition schedule with a home date against Winthrop on Friday, Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. The regular season begins Aug. 28 against FIU from Fetzer Field at 7 p.m.
