North Carolina senior Ronnie Schneider has been selected for the 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship men's singles field, announced Wednesday by the ITA. Schneider is an at-large selection into the field of 32.

The prestigious event, the finale of the UNC men's tennis team's fall season, runs Nov. 3-6 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

Schneider also played in the event in 2014, when he reached the quarterfinals as a sophomore.

Three Tar Heels are part of the women's draw. Senior Haley Carter, sophomore Jessie Aney and freshman Sarah Daavettila are in the singles bracket, and Carter and Aney are also part of the doubles draw.
