Tar Heels Sweep Spring Opener

LAKE LURE, N.C. – The North Carolina rowing team raced for the first time this spring on Saturday, sweeping George Mason during a morning of racing on Lake Lure. Tar Heel boats won all four races by significant margins.
The racing kicked off a week of spring break training for the Tar Heels, who arrived in Lake Lure on Friday. After a week here, UNC will compete March 19 at the Carolina Club in Clemson, S.C., against the host Tigers and Duke.
