UNC Set To Host Men's Tennis Action Saturday and Sunday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The third-ranked North Carolina men's tennis team opens NCAA Tournament play on Saturday, hosting College of Charleston for a noon match at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. UNC will also play host to a first-round match between Tulane and Dartmouth, beginning at 9 a.m.
The winners will meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. for a spot in the NCAA semifinals.
“We're excited to be playing at home this weekend and to have great teams coming to Chapel Hill,” said UNC coach Sam Paul. “All three of the teams coming here are very strong and are well-coached. We look forward to some great NCAA tennis and hope our fans will come out and support the team.”
The Tar Heels (25-4)- are the No. 2 overall seed in the field.
The UNC women also are hosting first and second-round matches. On Friday, Ole Miss and Northwestern meet at 10 a.m., and UNC hosts ETSU at 1 p.m. The winners meet Saturday at 3 p.m. in a second-round match.
Tickets are $5 and cover all matches, both men's and women's, at the facility on a given day. Children 6 and under are admitted free.
