TWELVE GAMES IN MAY
• As final exams wind down and the season reaches its fourth month, Carolina has 12 games remaining that will define its 2016 campaign.
• All 12 games left on the schedule come against teams in the top 100 of the RPI, including eight against top-35 squads and six (series vs. Louisville and NC State) against teams in the top 10 nationally.
• Entering Tuesday, UNC is at No. 13 in the official NCAA RPI. The Tar Heels have 13 wins over teams currently in the top 50 on WarrenNolan.com, which is tied for the third-most nationally in that category.
• Entering the week, Carolina is currently in 10th place in the ACC standings with nine conference games to play. The top 10 will qualify for the ACC Championship May 24-29 in Durham, with teams 1-6 earning a bye into pool play and teams 7-10 playing on Tuesday for the final two spots.
• There is still plenty of room for improvement in the standings, as nine of the league's 14 teams currently have between 10 and 13 losses in ACC play.
