Schneider Moves On In NCAA Singles Championship Play

Junior Ronnie Schneider advanced in singles play Wednesday at the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship in Tulsa, Okla., beating UNC Wilmington's Santtu Leskinen.6-2, 4-6, 6-3 to reach the Round of 32.
Leskinen, a senior, was the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year for 2016.
Schneider moves on to face Florida State's Benjamin Lock on Thursday at 10 a.m. Central.
Schneider is the only Tar Heel still standing in the men's singles bracket. Junior Brayden Schnur fell 6-2, 6-2 Wednesday to Gustav Hansson of Ole Miss. Senior Brett Clark also lost by a 6-2, 6-2 score, to Alabama's Mazen Osama.
